Collections financial audit

A structured financial audit of how a collections portfolio is managed, measured, and reported — from aging cut-offs through recovery evidence and allowance logic.

Format

On-site and remote fieldwork

Typical duration

3–6 weeks typical

Delivery

Bangkok office meetings and client sites across Thailand

From THB 185,000 per scoped engagement

Who this is for

Finance controllers, heads of credit, internal audit sponsors, and boards of lenders, finance companies, and large receivables holders who need an independent view of collections management applications — meaning how collections policy is applied in day-to-day recovery work and how that work lands in the financial statements.

Result you receive

A written findings pack with:

  • Scope and period covered
  • Observations ranked by financial statement and control impact
  • Evidence references (samples, reconciliations, interview notes)
  • Practical remediation suggestions tied to your existing desks and close calendar

We do not certify accounts as a statutory auditor unless separately engaged under applicable Thai rules; this engagement is a focused financial audit of collections practices and related balances.

What is included

  • Kick-off scoping of portfolio, systems of record, and reporting lines
  • Aging roll-forward and cut-off testing for selected reporting dates
  • Sample review of recovery case files against ledger balances
  • Agency remittance and fee reconciliation testing where external collectors are used
  • Walkthrough of write-off and allowance approval chains
  • Closing discussion with management before the final pack is issued

What is excluded

  • Full statutory financial statement audit of the entity
  • Legal advice on debt enforcement or consumer protection disputes
  • Implementation of new recovery software or staff outsourcing
  • Ongoing monitoring retainers (available separately if agreed)

Provider & process

Engagements are led by a Node Query Hub audit manager based in Bangkok, with fieldwork support as needed. Process stages:

  1. Scoping call — portfolio size, legal entities, period, known issues
  2. Information request — aging extracts, policy manuals, sample case lists, remittance files
  3. Fieldwork — testing, interviews with collections supervisors and close owners
  4. Draft findings — factual clearance with management
  5. Final pack — issued PDF plus working-paper index

Preparation

Please designate a single coordination contact in finance or credit operations. Extracts should cover at least two reporting dates (for example month-end and prior quarter). If agencies are used, remittance files for the same periods accelerate testing.

Constraints

Access to personally identifiable customer data stays under your privacy rules; we work with redacted or limited fields where possible. Findings depend on the completeness of records provided during fieldwork.

Pricing basis

Quote-based after scoping. Indicative starting fee for a single mid-size consumer portfolio: THB 185,000. Larger multi-entity or multi-agency scopes are priced after the information request.

Next step

Request a scoping call and tell us the portfolio type, period under review, and whether year-end or regulator timing applies.
